The club’s official third kit pays homage to Philadelphia’s unmatched sports culture
Philadelphia Union today unveiled the club’s 2026 “Philly Kit,” a jersey inspired by Philadelphia’s enduring sports legacy and the generations of fans whose passion has helped define the city.
More than a jersey, the 2026 “Philly Kit” pays tribute to the people, neighborhoods, traditions, and unforgettable moments that have shaped Philadelphia’s sports culture. Designed as a celebration of the city’s rich athletic history, the kit honors the legacy of Philadelphia sports while establishing the Union’s place within it.
“Philadelphia is unlike any other sports city in America,” said Amanda Young Curtis, SVP Marketing and Communications, Philadelphia Union. “The passion, pride, and loyalty of its fans have shaped one of the most recognizable sports cultures in the world, and this kit is a tribute to that legacy. It reflects the deep connection between this city and its teams while recognizing the generations of Philadelphians who have defined what it means to be a sports fan.”
Inspired by the defining sports culture of the 1990s, the 2026 “Philly Kit” captures the spirit of an era that helped shape generations of Philadelphia fans. Rather than recreate the past, the design reimagines it, placing the Union alongside the teams, traditions, and memories that have become part of the city’s story.
The jersey features sleeve and collar accents long synonymous with Philadelphia sports. Together, the palette pays tribute to the teams, moments, and generations of fans who have helped shape the city’s enduring passion for sports.
Additional details include a period-inspired Philadelphia skyline positioned above a classic “PHILLY” wordmark, blending nostalgia with a modern interpretation of the city. Other features include a reimagined throwback MLS logo, the Union’s classic snake patch, and the Liberty Bell featuring an intertwined snake cutout, bringing together two iconic symbols of the city and the club.
The result is a jersey that feels equally at home at Subaru Park, on South Street, or anywhere Philadelphians come together to support their teams.
The 2026 “Philly Kit” celebrates Philadelphia’s proud sports tradition and the supporters whose passion continues to shape the city. The kit will first be worn by the team in their home match against Inter Miami CF on August 19 and is available for purchase now at MLSStore.com and in the Union shop.
