The Philadelphia Union are 2025 Supporters’ Shield winners!

With a 1-0 victory against New York City FC, the Boys in Blue improved their record to 20-6-7, setting a new club record for total wins in a season.

The team earned the opportunity to lift the shield at home for the second time in club history, accumulating 66 points through 33 matches played. Regardless of their decision day result, the team will finish the 2025 regular season with the best overall record in all of Major League Soccer.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Bradley Carnell, who took over at the helm during the offseason, and the direction of Sporting Director Ernst Tanner, the team has maintained consistent success through the entire year, boasting the best defense in MLS with just 33 goals conceded, protecting the home fortress with 12 home wins, and making a statement on the road with a club record of eight away wins.

They did so with a commitment group of veteran leaders, new international additions, developmental prospects, and promising Homegrown talent, who celebrated their accomplishment in front of Union faithful, family, and friends on the pitch after the final whistle.

It’s been a special season for the Philadelphia Union, but it’s not over yet – along with the award, the Union has earned home-field advantage throughout the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs.

The Philadelphia Union will finish their 2025 regular season against Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium on October 18th.
