After leading Philadelphia Union with 15 goals in 2019 many wondered if Kacper Przybylko would have a sophomore slump in his second full season with the club. While the start-stop-start 2020 season has seen many things one constant has been Przybylko scoring as he turned in his second two-goal performance of the season in Sunday night's 4-1 victory over the Montreal Impact.
The goals push "The Friendly Striker" into a tie for forth play in the league's Golden Boot race with seven goals but that's just the tip of his rise up the charts. Przybylko's first-half stoppage time goal saw the 27-year-old break a tie with teammate Ilsinho to climb the club's all-time leading scorer chart and he now sits firmly in fourth place with 22 goals in 38 appearances.
Sunday night wasn't the first brace of the year for the forward as he scored back-to-back goals against D.C. United and Sunday night was his third brace as a member of the Boys in Blue. That too is historic as he sits fourth in club history with three braces, trailing only Union Ring of Honor legend Sebastien Le Toux, Conor Casey and CJ Sapong.
