Rivalries breed traditions, and this year the annual bonfire is headed to a new level. A gigantic bull will burn prior to the match — 6:30 p.m. ET in the Sons of Ben lot — and you’ll want to be there to see how fast it goes up in flames.
Pride Night is a chance to celebrate inclusivity and community, and this year the Union celebrate Soccer For All and pride in many ways. There will be pride bandanas for the first 5,000 people in the gate, pride merchandise — including the pride warm-up top that will be worn on-field — and activities on the plaza. Additionally, the Union will once again make the club’s presence felt in the Pride Parade on Sunday.
It’s taken a while, but the rest of the league is starting to recognize that the Union are for real. A strong defense, breathtaking attacking transition, and in-form veteran core has lifted Philly to the top of the standings even as Marco Fabian recovers from an ankle injury.
Come give the team an extra shot of energy by supporting them when they take on New York Red Bulls at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 8 at Talen Energy Stadium.
