Philadelphia Union II hosted CT United FC at Kinetic Field at WSFS Bank Sportsplex on Sunday, falling 4-2. Dylan Lacy opened the scoring for the visitors in the first minute before Bryan Destin doubled the advantage in the 13th. CT United added two more goals in first-half stoppage time through Barnabas Tanyi and Destin to take a 4-0 lead into halftime.
Union II responded early in the second half as forward Stas Korzeniowski converted a penalty in the 55th minute. Six minutes later, Korzeniowski scored his second of the match off an assist from Matheus De Paula to cut the deficit to two. Union II were unable to find another goal, ending the match with a 4-2 loss.
Philadelphia Union II travel to NKU Soccer Stadium on Sunday, August 30, to face FC Cincinnati 2 (12:00 p.m. ET / OneFootball).
