Under the leadership of interim Head Coach Ryan Richter, who took over at the helm at the end of May, the Philadelphia Union are unbeaten in nine matches, most recently defeating FC Cincinnati 5-0 at home on Wednesday night.Â
With the dominant result, which pushed the team further up the Eastern Conference standings to eighth, Richter earned MLS Coach of the Matchday honors, joining three of his players, Bruno Damiani, Quinn Sullivan, and Cavan Sullivan, who were each featured on the Team of the Matchday.
