Star Wars™ Night
Fans are welcome to show out in their best Star Wars™ outfits for our costume competitions, one for adults and one for children. Throughout the game be on the lookout for photo opportunities with your favorite Jedi, or if you dabble on the Dark Side, your favorite Sith.
Please note that lightsabers, blasters, metal or hard plastic costume accessories and props will not be allowed in Subaru Park.
Union Yards
The theme night kicks off at Union Yards where fans can try a trio of Star Wars™ inspired non-alcoholic beverages exclusive for this match.
At 5:45PM, the adult costume contest will kick off near the DJ Stage where the crowd will help crown the Best Dressed in the Galaxy. Following the competition be sure to stick around for Union Chalk Talk hosted by Sage Hurley and Dave Leno.
Subaru Plaza
The plaza has become a space port with kids invited to take a tour through a Millenium Falcon inflatable before weaving around a stomping AT-AT obstacle course at Subaru Plaza.
Kids Club members can pose with Jedi Phang from 6:15pm-6:45pm. Following Phang’s appearance, stop by Phang’s Playground for the Kid’s costume competition open to all youth fans 13 and under for a special prize.
In-bowl
Step into a galaxy far, far away upon entering Subaru Park complete with special Star Wars™motion graphics throughout the venue and Star Wars™ fan costumers marching along the concourse. At halftime stick around so you don’t miss out on a special on field presentation.
Canned Food Drive
In honor of World Hunger Day on May 28th, Penn Medicine and Philadelphia Union will be holding a non-perishable food drive during home games in May to help fill our Penn Medicine Community Fridge. On Saturday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 16th please drop off items at the U-Serve tent located on Subaru Plaza!
The drive continues the Philadelphia Union’s commitment to volunteerism efforts through the U-Serve platform, presented by Bimbo Bakeries USA. U-Serve connects fans with volunteer opportunities across Greater Philadelphia and offers tiered rewards, including Union swag and exclusive experiences. Visit the U-Serve Tent on Subaru Plaza to learn more about available volunteer opportunities and how to get involved.

Union Yards
Located just across from the Sons of Ben Tailgate lots, the ‘Dogfish Head Bar at Union Yards’ features a 50-foot full bar serving 20 beers on tap as well as wine, liquor, and soft drinks. The 4,000-square-foot main hall includes a rustic brick façade, nine clear glass garage doors, 15-foot ceiling fans, nine rows of communal tables, and 10 big screen TVs showing games across Major League Soccer as well as all Philly sporting events.
Union Yards opens three hours before kick off, at 4:30PM ET on Saturday, and will be open until 10:30PM.
The ‘GIANT Tailgate at Union Yards’ features tailgate games, lounge seating and firepits with string lights overhead and trees throughout.
Gameday Timeline
All gates will open at 6PM ET for the Union's home match against Nashville SC on Saturday.
In addition to gate opening, the Union shop will open at 5PM for guests along with Subaru Plaza opening at 5:30PM.
Zero Landfill
With the Philadelphia Union's innovative, forward-thinking initiatives and Subaru's long history of environmentalism and zero landfill expertise, the Union and Subaru have made Subaru Park the first zero landfill soccer stadium in Major League Soccer. To achieve this, Subaru Park reduces, reuses, and recycles more than 90% of its waste with the remaining waste converted to energy, thereby putting nothing into landfills since officially declaring zero-landfill status in 2021. By creating in-stadium messaging and an easy system for fans to sort their waste, Subaru and the Union cut the amount of waste each fan generated in half and increased the amount of waste fans recycle five-fold. Helping to keep trash out of landfills is just another way Subaru lives up to its commitment to support the Philadelphia community through its partnership with the Philadelphia Union.
