Philadelphia Union will host the fourth annual Blue and Gold Cup at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26 at YSC Sports in Wayne, Pa. The tournament allows participants to form teams to compete in a 7v7 format for a chance to win special recognition during the Aug. 24 match against the San Jose Earthquakes at PPL Park.
The tournament will host three different divisions (determined by the number of registrants). Divisions will be split into all male, female and co-ed teams, each with their own champion (pending enough teams to fill a bracket).
All participants must be 18 or older to play.
Each team registration comes with 20 sideline tickets for the Union’s match August 24 vs. San Jose Earthquakes ($860 value). The winning teams from each division will also receive championship t-shirts, an invitation to a pregame championship party (food and beverage included), a plaque at PPL Park with the team’s name and photo and on-field recognition at the August 24 match.
