Weekend Rundown:
Tournament season continues in full swing for our Philadelphia Union Summer Select teams, and this past weekend, our older age groups took the field at the Lititz Summer Showcase, bringing home both results and momentum. The Lititz Summer Showcase is a competitive youth soccer tournament held annually in Lititz, Pennsylvania, typically during the summer months. It’s hosted by PA Classics, one of the top youth soccer clubs in the region.

Five Union teams competed, and we’re proud to announce two gold finishes and one silver. But beyond the medals, the weekend was marked by strong performances across the board and continued growth for all our athletes.
Why It’s Valuable for Union Summer Select:
- It’s a chance for older players to showcase their growth in a competitive setting.
- Acts as a prep stage for high school and college-level play.
- Offers scouting and benchmarking opportunities against other elite regional programs.

“We’re proud of all of our teams in this older age group,” said Patrick Kelleher, PPP Boys Director. “These high school kids have an amazing edge on the competition entering the fall season. Any coach would be proud to have them on their high school squad.”

Congratulations to our medal-winning teams:
2008 Boys Bedoya – Gold
2009 Boys Quinn – Gold
2010 Boys Blake – Silver
Shoutout to teams that impressed with strong performances:
2008 Boys Gazdag
2010 Boys Wagner

From championship runs to gritty battles, our players continue to represent the crest with class, competitiveness, and unity. Summer Select is all about development through challenge, and this group is putting in the work. More tournaments are on the horizon!
Stay tuned as Union Summer Select pushes forward.
