It's a battle of two goals in front of the Sons of Ben that are battling it out for June's BIMBO Goal of the Month! Voting for the accolade is now live and will last for just 24 hours.
The first nomination comes Cory Burke against rivals New York City FC. Tied up in second half stoppage time, the forward was in the right place at the right time as a Jose Martinez blast deflected off the Jamaican forward and into the net to push the Union atop the Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile it's the captain Alejandro Bedoya looking to claim the monthly accolade with a perfectly placed curler against FC Cincinnati. After setting up a pair of strong chances, it was the Captain who took matters into his own hands to put the Boys in Blue ahead in the 17th minute. Employing the Union’s back to front attack, Daniel Gazdag sent a volley over the defense that Carranza battled to the endline. Getting physical with his marker, the Argentinian kept the ball in play while battling his defender and played a ball to the Union captain. Bedoya had a look up at the defense before smacking a left-footed curler that snuck through FC Cincinnati and inside the post to send Subaru Park into a frenzy.
