Philadelphia Union and Chick-fil-A have teamed up to present the Give Back Program of the Month. Eight times a year, one local organization will be chosen by both parties that serves one of three pillars: Hunger, homelessness, or education. This organization will be invited out to table on Subaru Plaza pregame at one match that chosen month, be given 15 tickets to that match, will get the chance to get catering from Chick-fil-A for any event that month and will get a Chick-fil-A swag bag. At the seasons end, each of the eight organizations will be presented with a $5,000 donation.

April's Give Back Organization of the Month | CityTeam Chester

CityTeam is founded on meeting local needs. Their programs across the United States offer help and hope to provide their neighbors in need with hot meals, groceries, shelter, housing and restorative programs, learning and career help, discovery Bible studies, and so much more. Each of their cities has customized programs to specifically meet the needs of their community. City Team - Chester is Chick-fil-A and Philadelphia Union's first Give Back Organization of the Month. Chick-fil-A headed out to City Team on April 26th and provided meals for their residents and local community. City Team also came out to the match on April 23rd and tabled on plaza and enjoyed the game!


May's Give Back Organization of the Month | Allentown Rescue Mission

Allentown Rescue Mission is a team of dedicated employees and volunteers who meet people where they are at and give them the resources to get where they are going. They are a non-denominational, social services organization, that provides critically needed goods and services to homeless and impoverished men, without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, or religion. Their motivation for helping those less fortunate goes back for more than 100 years. They believe that we all deserve a second chance and work to provide hope and renewal to the homeless men of the Greater Lehigh Valley. Allentown Rescue Mission was chosen as the Give Back Organization for May and attended the match on May 18th.


June's Give Back Organization of the Month | Sunday Breakfast Mission

Sunday Breakfast Mission serves the homeless, addicted and impoverished through Christ-centered programs to meet their spiritual, social and physical needs in the Wilmington, Delaware area. They offer programs for men, women, women with children, the community and more. Some of their major events are the Annual Back to School Rally, the Great Thanksgiving Food Outreach, a Co-Ed Basketball Camp and more. They came out to table on plaza for the match on June 18th and enjoyed 15 tickets to the match!


July's Give Back Organization of the Month | Philly Solidarity

Philly Solidarity's mission is to amplify and unite AAPI voices, build understanding and solidarity across communities through grassroots organizing, and inspire positive cultural shifts as they make activism accessible and dismantle societal discrimination. Change happens when we stand together! They focus on community safety, youth programming, and community collaboration. They attended the match on July 30th as the Give Back Organization of July!


August's Give Back Organization of the Month | Angels Community Outreach

Angels Community Outreach mission is to give a hand UP to those in need. They will accomplish this by providing clothing, toiletries, food and more at no cost to those financially in need. They respond to basic human needs, promote dignity and hope. Their goal is also to provide social activities and holiday events to children in need. Another one of their goals is to also spread kindness. Sometimes it is not always about the necessities, it is taking the time to listen to someone or to do something for them to make them feel special. Sometimes, something as simple as a new outfit can put a smile on one’s face and make them feel beautiful.They were honored to come out to Plaza on the 31st of August and attend the match!


August's Give Back Organization of the Month | The Unforgotten Haven

The Unforgotten Haven is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to help the less fortunate. They work in partnership with churches and other community organizations. All of their services are provided without charge. They accomplish our mission with 20+project groups. Each group has a different focus. One group feeds the homeless, another group distributes snack packs to chemo patients, another assists women in domestic violence shelters.

Most of the Unforgotten Haven's services and donations are used in our local community. However, their services are not county-based or state-based. They help wherever there is need. This includes conducting hurricane relief missions to Louisiana, North Carolina, and Florida. Unforgotten Haven is proud to be the Give Back organization of August and enjoyed 15 tickets to the match on August 27th.

September's Give Back Organization of the Month | The Hospitality Center

The Hospitality Center was created from true and simple love for people. It is a home during the day for anyone who otherwise would be left hungry, weary or living on the streets. The Hospitality Center is a low-barrier day shelter that provides free services to anyone in need. The Hospitality Center is the only day shelter in downtown Norristown that accepts anyone with full services. Those full services include shelter, food, shower, phone, fax, mail, and access to two social workers each day. They were honored to be the Give Back Organization of September and enjoyed a fun Union match.

September's Give Back Organization of the Month | Father to a Fatherless Generation

Father to a Fatherless Generation strives to follow the following. Where fathers lack, they pick up the pace, and they make the relationship personal. They focus on a 7 key principles which are:  Be Resourceful, Break the Cycle, Create Character, Have Faith, Learn Discipline, Correct the Brotherhood and Raise Sons. They were honored to be the final Give Back Organization and enjoyed the international friendly match on the 24th of September at Subaru Park.
