Ngalina signed his first professional contract on April 25, 2018, after a three-week trial with the club. He made his professional, league and club debut on the road at Louisville (April 28), coming on as a second-half substitute. Made his second appearance of the year the following weekend at Richmond (May 6). Ngalina earned his first professional start on the road at Charleston (May 12). Followed up with another start against New York (May 16) in which he scored his first professional goal. Continued in the starting XI on the road at Indy (May 19). Ngalina continued his strong run of form at North Carolina (June 2), collecting his second game-winning goal. After helping Steel FC to a clean sheet against defending USL Cup champion Louisville (June 9), Ngalina collected his first professional assist at Cincinnati (June 13). Returned to his scoring ways on the road at Richmond (August 4), scoring his third goal of 2018. Tallied this third game-winning strike of the year on the road against Toronto (August 16). Had a career day against Toronto (September 22), scoring both a goal and an assist in the shutout at home. Clinched the club's second-consecutive postseason-appearance with his sixth goal of the year against Tampa Bay (October 14). In his postseason debut at Pittsburgh (October 20), Ngalina scored Steel FC's first postseason goal, forcing extra time that the club won in penalties for its first USL Cup Playoffs victory.

International Experience:

2016: Ngalina spent time with the Democratic Republic of the Congo U-17s, making the squad that competed in the 2016 tournament of the Union of Federations of Central African football in Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo.
