Bethlehem Steel FC acquired Ryan Richter via transfer from Ottawa Fury on Dec. 22, 2015.
2016 (Bethlehem Steel FC): Was named to the first 2016 USL Team of the Week after playing the full 90 minutes in Steel FC's inaugural game against FC Montreal in which he helped the squad maintain a defensive clean sheet during the 1-0 victory.
2015 (Ottawa Fury): Permanently joined the NASL side and started all 32 games last season while leading the Fury to the NASL Championship against New York Cosmos.
2014 (Ottawa Fury): Spent the year on loan from Toronto and played in 15 games, scoring one goal.
2013 (Toronto FC): Saw his first MLS action against his former club (Philadelphia) in April and appeared in 13 MLS regular season games.
2012 (Charleston Battery): Appeared in 24 games and netted two goals.
2011 (Union): The Union drafted Richter with the No. 5 pick in the 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft and he signed with the club on March 1. Richter then made his professional debut on loan with Harrisburg City in June 2011. This was the only action he saw professionally in 2011.
Ryan Richter was born in the Philadelphia area and has played in Eastern Pennsylvania for the majority of his life. After graduating high school, Richter attended LaSalle University and played with PDL’s Ocean City Nor’easters during summers.
