When the Union have a jolt on energy this season, captain Alejandro Bedoya has been there. As the midfielder from Englewood, New Jersey turns 32 today, he's made such an impact on the Boys in Blue.
Since joining the Union on August 6, 2016, Bedoya has been a fan favorite and made an instant impact on the squad with a pair of goals his first season against Toronto FC including one in the postseason. Fast forward to 2019, Bedoya is still coming up strong with fantastic goals including a match winner against FC Dallas earlier this month.
While it's a double game week with home matches against FC Cincinnati and New England Revolution, there is no better way to start off the week than saluting the captain on his birthday.
