Reasons to Watch: Momentum and Revenge

Why should you tune in when the first place Union take on New England on June 26 at 7:00 p.m. ET?

Momentum

It’s been a loooong time since the Union played a league game. Still, the club wants to build on a 3-2 second half comeback win over Red Bulls back on June 8. Although the Union are top of the table right now, there are some big clubs lurking just below them and starting the back half of the season on a strong note is key for Philly.

Revenge from the north

Ilsinho, Sergio Santos, and the rest of the Union attack embarrassed the Revs back on May 4th in a 6-1 win. New head coach Bruce Arena will make sure the memory of that loss motivates his side as they welcome the conference leaders to town. Getting the first goal will be huge in this matchup.

Marco back in the mix

After a layoff to rest and repair his body, designed player Marco Fabian should be in the mix for Philly when they head up to Boston. A healthy Fabian is an enormous gun to be able to deploy as the Union seek to remain on top over the final 17 games of the season.

Tune in to PHL17 at 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 26 for Philly vs New England as MLS action resumes after a Gold Cup layoff.
