In a match that saw thrilling action at the beginning and end of the contest, the 2019 MLS Homegrown squad were able to take down Chivas de Guadalajara’s Under-20 Team in the 2019 MLS Homegrown Game presented by Energizer® Tuesday night.

Philadelphia Union midfielder Brenden Aaronson had quite the experience in his first All-Start match, as the contest was packed with action from the opening touch. Both teams found the back of the net in the opening minutes, with Chivas scoring off the opening kick but the youngsters battling back to tie it in the second minute of play.

With Chivas looking like it would take the victory late, the Homegrown squad rallied back in second-half stoppage time as Toronto FC's Noble Okello struck for goal in the 94th minute.

In penalty kicks, MLS shut out their international opponent by a 3-0 margin.
