Ahead of the United States Men's National Team international friendly against Costa Rica Saturday afternoon at Dignity Health Sports Park, Philadelphia Union homegrown midfielder Brenden Aaronson spoke with MLSSoccer.com's Scott French on his journey to making the travel roster.

“To be here, where I am today, is kind of crazy. It's all a dream come true, for sure,” Aaronson said.

While he is looking to earn his first cap with the USMNT, Aaronson's next big moment could be at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. But before that, the U.S. has to quality beginning March 20 at Concacaf's qualifying tournament.

"Aaronson, one of a dozen uncapped players on this USMNT roster, has feasted on the opportunities to learn and grow during Berhalter's second January camp, most of which was staged in Bradenton, Fla." French writes.
