Last week Philadelphia Union announced the social campaign #SendAShield where fans would send photos of them with the Union shield on a kit or scarf. For every Union shield submitted the club would donate an additional 5 face shields to frontline workers with a goal of 1,000 additional face shields.
Wednesday evening, Union fans helped the club reach the goal of 200 Union shields submitted and thus 1,000 Fight For Philly face shields being donated. Thursday morning the face shields were delivered.
