Resource Guide | Black History Month Virtual Events

BHM_ROT

As Black History Month begins, PhiladelphiaUnion.com has compiled a resource guide with countless free activities that fans can do virtually from their own homes.

In addition to the Union's resource guide, Major League Soccer has created "The Black History Month Challenge" which is a fun and interactive way to explore some of the lesser-known stories about the Black experience in the U.S. and to earn a valuable scholarship. Complete the 30-minute course on topics such as Black business titans and Black contributions to medicine, and then submit a short essay or an opportunity to compete for one of three scholarships. The scholarship essay contest is open to all students ages 13-18 and ends on February 28, 2021. For more information, click here.

There are countless ways to celebrate Black History Month with a daily calendar of virtual events as well as on-demand videos, events, articles, books, movies, podcasts, free-online courses as well as a list of local black-owned restaurants. To view the lists of events, click the image below.
