Philadelphia Union II took on Inter Miami CF II at Subaru Park on Sunday night, ending with a 2-2 draw. With the draw, Union II are now in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with 28 points. In the 30th minute Miami forward Romeo Beckham converted from the penalty spot to put Inter Miami CF II ahead by one. Union’s Jose Riasco quickly answered with his first MLS NEXT Pro goal in the 35th minute off a Paxten Aaronson assist to tie the game at halftime. In the 43rd minute midfielder Paxten Aaronson scored off a header from the center of the box to the bottom right corner, he was assisted by Jesus Bueno. Miami’s Lawson Sunderland was assisted by David Ruiz as he scored off a deflected shot to the top right corner in the 76th minute. After drawing even through 90 minutes of play, the match was decided in a shootout with kicks from the penalty spot. Goalkeeper Matt Freese had two saves to guide the Union to a 5-4 penalty shootout win.
