Philadelphia Union II played Columbus Crew 2 on Tuesday afternoon after a Monday evening rain delay, winning the game 6-2. With the win, Union II gain three points and will remain in sixth place. Columbus Crew 2 goalie Stanislav Lapkes received a red card after committing a foul in the fifth minute. Forward Stefan Stojanovic opened up the scoring in the game with an assist from Nelson Pierre in the 26th minute, giving Union II a 1-0 lead. In the 31st minute, Crew 2 was awarded a penalty kick and tied the score after Philadelphia defender Daniel Krueger committed a foul in the box. Nelson Pierre gave Philadelphia the lead again in the 36th minute, but Crew 2 evened it up shortly after, in the 45th minute. Stojanovic found the back of the net in the 53rd minute from the center of the box, giving him his second goal of the game. Philadelphia extended the lead in the 69th minute with a goal from outside of the box by David Vazquez. Juan Castillo and Luciano Sanchez both scored goals late in the game to bring Union II ahead 6-2. Philadelphia Union II have not been beaten in five consecutive games.

Philadelphia Union II are back home on Friday, July 28 (7:30 p.m. / Apple TV) where they take on Wrexham A.F.C. at Subaru Park.
