Philadelphia Union II seeks to continue its rise up the Eastern Conference table as they host New England Revolution II on Thursday night at Subaru Park. Tickets can be purchased online here or you can catch the action with MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
Union II enters the midweek affair with a three-game winning streak after knocking off Columbus Crew 2 in a rematch of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference Final. After falling behind to the home side, the Boys in Blue battled with gritty goals from Leandro Soria, Giovanny Sequera and homegrown forward Eddy Davis III to overcome a first-half deficit and nab all three points.
Thursday’s match kicks off a four-game homestand for Head Coach Ryan Richter’s side with Union II having only lost once in league play so far. With three games in hand, this homestand will be an important one for the defending Eastern Conference champions who have build this winning streak while having limited numbers due to first team games as well as MLS NEXT Playoffs. Despite the lack of substitutes, Union II has been clinical in front of net with 10 goals in the last three matches and at least three goals scored in four of the last five. Overall, Union II has had 14 different goalscorers this season, proving that players are eager to perform when given the opportunity to suit up for Union II.
Union II kicked off their 2025 campaign against New England, with the two sides playing to a scoreless draw before Revolution II claimed the extra point via a 4-3 shootout result. New England currently sits four points behind Union II with 20 points which has them seventh in the east. While they have four wins on the season, only one has come away from their home fans with a 1-3-2 record on the road. New England last played on Sunday, June 15th where they fell to FC Cincinnati 2 by a 1-0 margin. That scoreline has been typical for them as three of their last four games have ended 1-0 with Revolution II on the winning side just once.
