Philadelphia Union II looks to start another unbeaten run this weekend as they welcome FC Cincinnati 2 to Subaru Park on Sunday, August 3rd. Kick off is set for 6pm with tickets available online here.

Union II opens August looking to bounce back after a 3-2 loss at Carolina Core FC that saw the Boys in Blue's ten-game unbeaten run come to an end. The match was a physical one with three penalty kicks awarded overall. Union II grabbed the lead through Markus Anderson's fourth goal of the season but the home side responded with two goals in three minutes to grab the lead. Sal Olivas converted from the penalty spot to knot the game up at 2-2 going into the break but another penalty kick for the hosts turned out to be game-winner.

Sunday's match will be the second of three regular season meetings between Union II and the Ohio side with the Boys in Blue grabbing a 4-1 victory on June 3rd. Four different players scored for Union II in the contest with 16-year-old Malik Jakupovic scoring in his professional debut with a stoppage-time goal.

FC Cincinnati 2 finds itself in a battle for a playoff spot with six teams with two points of the No. 7 position in the Eastern Conference table. The Ohio side is 4-7-7 in 2025 but sports a perfect 7-0 record in penalty kick shootouts. Since their 4-1 loss to Union II in June, FC Cincinnati 2 has yet to lose a match, winning three in regulation and five in a shootout. They come in riding a two-game winning streak after knocking off Huntsville by a 1-0 margin at home and then a 3-0 road victory over Inter Miami CF II in their July finale last weekend.
