Philadelphia Union II earned its most emphatic victory of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season on Sunday afternoon, defeating New England Revolution II, 4-0, behind a career performance from homegrown Eddy Davis III.
The first team forward forward recorded the first hat trick of his MLS NEXT Pro career, while goalkeeper Pierce Holbrook made nine saves to preserve the clean sheet. Kellan LeBlanc added Philadelphia's second goal as the Boys in Blue claimed all three points on the road.
Davis III opened the scoring in the 17th minute, finishing off a setup from Matheus De Paula to give Union II an early advantage. Philadelphia doubled its lead just six minutes later when Malik Jakupovic found LeBlanc, who calmly finished to make it 2-0 before halftime.
While the Union II attack capitalized on its opportunities, Holbrook stole the spotlight defensively. The goalkeeper turned aside nine Revolution II shots throughout the afternoon, repeatedly denying the hosts to keep the clean sheet intact despite sustained pressure.
Davis III added his second goal after the break before completing his hat trick in the closing stages, capping a dominant individual performance and sealing Union II's 4-0 victory.
The shutout victory continues Union II's strong MLS NEXT Pro campaign as the club heads into its next league contest with momentum after one of its most complete performances of the season.
Philadelphia Union II returns to Subaru Park next weekend as they face off against Huntsville City FC on Sunday, July 12th. Kick off is set for 3PM with coverage on OneFootball.
