Philadelphia Union II earned a 2-1 road win over Orlando City B on Sunday night at Osceola Heritage Park, securing all three points behind a standout performance from goalkeeper Pierce Holbrook.
After a scoreless opening half, Union II broke through in the 55th minute when forward Eddy Davis III finished off a play assisted by Willyam Ferreira and Isaiah Mendoza to give Philadelphia the lead. Union II doubled its advantage in the 81st minute, as Academy forward Theo Reed found the back of the net off assists from Tyler Gladstone and Kellan LeBlanc.
Orlando City B pulled one back in second-half stoppage time through Bernardo Rhein, but Union II held firm in the closing moments to secure the road victory. Holbrook played a key role in preserving the result, recording 10 saves on the night.
Philadelphia Union II will return to action on Sunday, June 28, when they travel to MSU Soccer Park to face Red Bull New York II at 7:00 p.m. ET on OneFootball.
