Recap: Union II fall to New England Revolution II

Philadelphia Union II continued play in MLS NEXT Pro with a 1-0 loss against New England Revolution II on Friday night at Gillette Stadium. The Union outshot New England 15 to 13 but couldn’t find the back of the net.

In the first half, Union II outshot Revolution II seven to three despite possessing the ball for less than half of the first 45 minutes of play. Meny Silva broke the scoreless tie in the 34th minute on a strike to the back of the net, assisted by Ryan Lima.

Union II’s best chances of the match came from Stefan Stojanovic and Chris Donovan on consecutive second half possessions.
