Achievement Unlocked | Agustín Anello makes his Union debut

The first league match of 2026 saw numerous Independence Blue Cross Achievements Unlocked as Philadelphia Union battled rivals D.C. United.

With the Union trailing by a goal, Head Coach Bradley Carnell sought an offensive spark with forward Agustín Anello getting his league debut in the contest. The 23-year-old entered in place of Jesus Bueno in the 57th minute and generated four shots in 33 minutes of action.

Anello was acquired by the Union on February 10th, joining from Uruguay’s Boston River where he scored six goals and one assist in 14 Clausura matches in 2025.
