May wrapped up with another Independence Blue Cross Achievement Unlocked with the latest ocurring at the opening whistle of tonight's Philadelphia Union road match at FC Dallas.
At kick off midfielder Ben Bender earned his first start for the Boys in Blue as they battled the Western Conference to conclude the busy month. The former Charlotte FC man had featuredas a second-half substitute in the past few contests of the Union before getting the start on Saturday night in the Lone Star State.
Bender was signed through the end of 2025, on May 9, 2025. Bender went on to make 51 MLS appearances for Charlotte, recording seven goals and one assist. He also spent time on loan with Crown Legacy FC in 2023 and the Tampa Bay Rowdies in 2024.
