The first league match of 2026 saw numerous Independence Blue Cross Achievements Unlocked as Philadelphia Union battled rivals D.C. United.
The match saw forward Ezekiel Alladoh collect his first MLS start for the Boys in Blue in his club debut as the squad kicked off its league slate in Washington, D.C.
Alladoh joined the Union in early December after the club struck a deal with Swedish Allsvenskan side, IF Brommapojkarna. The acquisition marked the largest transfer fee in club history. Alladoh is guaranteed through 2028 with club options for 2029 and 2030.
