Union goalkeeper called up ahead of Concacaf Nations League matches
Philadelphia Union announced today that goalkeeper Andre Blake has been called up by the Jamaica National Team for the upcoming FIFA international window.
Blake joins the Jamaican National Team, where he has made 94 appearances and recorded 32 clean sheets for the Reggae Boyz. A mainstay for Jamaica since making his senior debut in 2014, Blake is tied for ninth-most appearances in national team history. Most recently, he helped Jamaica reach the FIFA World Cup Qualification Playoff final, recording a clean sheet in a 1-0 semifinal win over New Caledonia on March 26 before falling 1-0 to DR Congo after extra time on March 31.
The Union and Jamaica captain will compete in Concacaf Nations League matches against Guatemala on September 25, Honduras on September 28, El Salvador on October 2 and Honduras on October 5.
