A stoppage time clearance from MLS All-Star Jakob Glesnes has been selected as the Philadelphia Inquirer Save of June.
The Norwegian center back who was named to the All-Star roster a hour before kick off lived up to the high praise from his peers with a game-winning stop at the doorstep as the Boys in Blue battled Chicago Fire FC. With the Union ahead by a goal, the Fire pushed hard for an equalizer with their best opportunity coming in the third minute of stoppage time. Brian Gutiérrez found space to get off a shot that snuck past the keeper but Glesnes was perfeclty positioned near the net to clear it away and secure the 1-0 road win.
