To our Philadelphia Union Family,
This is not the result we wanted but our heads are held high. The Philadelphia Union 2022 season has left us bursting with pride and hope for the future of our organization. In times like these, we find comfort with each other, and our bond only serves to strengthen our resolve to win. We will win that Cup.
Your support has been unwavering. So many of you brought Philly’s voices and energy to Los Angeles, and even more tuned in on TV, making our first MLS Cup match the most watched in over 25 years. Plus the 10,000 of you that gathered to watch an epic match at our shared home, Subaru Park.
Our club was founded by and is bonded to our community, and that has made Subaru Park a fortress. Nobody likes playing against us, especially at home – and you know we don’t care.
That electric atmosphere made us impossible to beat at home, and we will need it next year as we fight for the Concacaf Champions League crown, the Leagues Cup, the Supporters’ Shield, and MLS Cup. So many new fans fell in love with the team this season, and next to all of you die-hard supporters out there, we put on the biggest party in Philadelphia week after week. We set records and made memories – and though the records may one day fall to the next generation of Union greats, the memories will last forever.
We will rest, recharge, and come back in 2023 stronger than ever - ready to show the city, league, the world that the Philadelphia Union is just getting started.
