Philadelphia Union Announce 2023 Regular-Season Schedule


CHESTER, Pa. (December 20, 2022) – Following their historic run to the MLS Cup Final, the Philadelphia Union, in conjunction with Major League Soccer, have announced the club’s 2023 regular-season schedule. The Eastern Conference Champions enter the new season after reaching MLS Cup Final for the first time in club history.

The Union will begin the 2023 MLS season by hosting Columbus Crew at Subaru Park, on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. ET, the inaugural day of the 2023 MLS season, and will conclude in a Decision Day match-up on the road against New England Revolution on Sunday, Oct. 21. Additionally, the Union will have their MLS Cup Final rematch against LAFC at Subaru Park on Sept. 23.

February 25 marks the earliest start to a season in MLS history, with the Union participating in multiple tournaments throughout the season including Concacaf Champions League and Open Cup. Additionally, Major League Soccer and Liga MX announced the launch of Leagues Cup where both leagues will pause regular season play for one month, July 21 to Aug. 19, to participate in the new annual competition.

The Union will play 17 home games and 17 away games. In addition to the home and season opener against Columbus (Feb. 25), highlight games at Subaru Park this season include MLS Rivalry Week matches against DC United (May 17) and New England Revolution (May 20), and 2022 Eastern Conference Final opponent, NYCFC (July 15).

Last month Major League Soccer announced a new 10-year partnership with Apple, with MLS Season Pass launching Feb. 1. The subscription service will feature every live MLS regular-season match, the entire playoffs, and the Leagues Cup. All Union matches will be available through MLS Season Pass, available on the Apple TV app. Additionally, three games are set to broadcast nationally. Two home matches, DC United (May 17) and New York Red Bulls (Sept. 3), will be on FS1, and the Union’s road match at Atlanta United (July 2) will air on FOX.
