Philadelphia Union, Liberty USO, and Battleship New Jersey Announce Battle of the Branches
5v5 Soccer tournament to take place on deck of Battleship New Jersey
CHESTER, Pa. (July 1, 2019) – Philadelphia Union, in partnership with Liberty USO and Battleship New Jersey, today announced Battle of the Branches, a 5v5 mini-soccer tournament on the deck of the Battleship New Jersey to celebrate Military Appreciation Week.
The Union invite all active duty military, as well as retired, reserve, DOD civilians, and friends and family playing in honor or memory of military members, in the Philadelphia-area to assemble teams and compete in the tournament. There is no cost to register and for each team that participates, the Philadelphia Union will make a donation to the USO and Battleship New Jersey.

The winning team will receive free tickets and limited-edition Adidas camo warm-up tops that the team will wear prior to the Union’s Military Appreciation Game on Sunday, August 11 against Houston Dynamo. They will also be recognized on-field in front of fans and the team.
