Philadelphia Union produced a stunning late comeback on Saturday night at Subaru Park, scoring three unanswered goals to erase a two-goal deficit and defeat Atlanta United, 3-2.
Despite playing with an extra man for more than an hour after Atlanta defender Enea Mihaj was shown a straight red card in the 25th minute, the Union found themselves trailing 2-0. Miguel Almirón gave the visitors the lead in the 30th minute before Tristan Muyumba doubled the advantage in the 66th, leaving the Boys in Blue searching for a late response.
That response began in the 73rd minute through the club's hottest striker. Milan Iloski chipped the Atlanta goalkeeper from distance to cut the deficit in half, and in the process made Philadelphia Union history. The goal marked Iloski's sixth consecutive MLS match with a goal, establishing a new club record and giving the Union renewed belief with just under 20 minutes remaining.
Philadelphia's relentless pressure finally paid off deep into second-half stoppage time. In the 96th minute, Homegrown defender Neil Pierre powered home a header off a pinpoint cross from Kai Wagner to level the match at 2-2, sending the Subaru Park crowd into celebration. The equalizer capped another memorable milestone for the young defender, who just one week earlier made his first MLS start and recorded his first MLS assist.
The comeback was complete just one minute later. Wagner delivered another dangerous ball into the penalty area, where Ezekiel Alladoh met it with a first-time finish for the first MLS goal of his career, sealing a remarkable 3-2 victory and one of the club's most memorable comebacks in recent seasons.
The victory extended Philadelphia's winning streak to three matches while showcasing the club's blend of established stars and emerging talent. Iloski etched his name into the Union record books, Pierre delivered another breakthrough moment in his young career, and Alladoh's first MLS goal ensured a night at Subaru Park that fans won't soon forget.

Head Coach Ryan Richter selected the same matchday crew for his team's Saturday night head-to-head with Atlanta as he did for their 1-0 win against Seattle Sounders. The XI and bench were identical to the one he chose a week prior -- Andre Blake started in net, protected by a backline featuring Nathan Harriel and Neil Pierre paired at centerback, plus Kai Wagner on the left and Frankie Westfield on the right.
Danley Jean Jacques and Jovan Lukic started at the 6, in the midfield alongside Indiana Vassilev and Cavan Sullivan, who made his 10th MLS start. Milan Iloski and Bruno Damiani started up top.
Iloski appeared in the starting crew energized by a five-match scoring streak, hitting the back of the net seven times in that span, with hopes to break the all-time Union record by hitting the back in a sixth-straight outing.Â
3', Free kick | The game's opening chance came from the Boys in Blue when Westfield won a free kick from a foul by former Union player Fafá Picault. Wagner provided the service with perfect placement but Atlanta keeper Lucas Hoyos battled Bruno Damiani to draw a foul of his own.
15', A physical start | The battle between two teams working to stay out of the basement of the Eastern Conference brought a physical start, with six fouls between the two sides in the opening 15 minutes.Â
18', Iloski attempt |Â Trying to make it six straight games with a goal, Iloski found Philly's first chance of the night but his attempt was saved by Hoyos between the posts.Â
22', Another Iloski attempt |Â Another near chance came from the foot of Iloski, aiming far post but after diverting left from an Enea Mihaj block. Sullivan spurred the action, finding Danley through traffic who then chipped it over three white jerseys to find Iloski for the shot.
27', ATL shown red | Mihaj was shown a red card and sent off in the 27th minute after a dangerous slide into Iloski near the right sideline, forcing the Fie Stripes to play with 10 men for the remainder of the match.
28', Iloski yellow | The physicality continued and Iloski was shown a yellow card caution for a foul on Miguel Almiron.Â
30', Atlanta goal | While adjusting to playing down a man, the visitors found the opening goal of the match, by way of a Atlanta drive up the middle from Alexey Miranchuk to Picault, who chipped it toward Almiron. Almiron drove toward and eventually collided with Blake admist pressure from Pierre and Westfield, but ultimately the ball trickled through the traffic and into the back of net.Â
43' Union chance! | Visibly determined to spark the team's attack before halftime, Sullivan sent a ball into box, finding Lukic who passed to Damiani for a right footed shot from the center of the box. Hoyos blocked it, but on the following corner, Pierre created the most promising chance of the first half, jumping high for a almost perfectly placed header that instead skimmed the cross bar for the miss. Five minutes of stoppage time were added to the first half.
45+, Stoppage time shots | Attempts from Sullivan and Westfield highlighted the final minutes of the first half, but an impressive effort from Hoyos to dive and save the 16-year-old's shot and more help from the post on the other Homegrown's attempt kept the visitors ahead.
45', Halftime | Down a goal but up a man, Philadelphia Union retreated to the locker room for halftime to reset and recover.
50', Second half surge | The Boys in Blue emerged from halftime and immediately began their push for an equalizer, executing corners and finding two shots in the first five minutes back on the field but blocking efforts from Junior Alonso and missed chances kept Philly without their first goal.Â
56', Union subs | Ryan Richter made his first changes of the net, adding Quinn Sullivan and Jesus Bueno to replace Indiana Vassilev and Jovan Lukic.
