Philadelphia Union esports competitor Sergio Matias will kick off his eMLS career this weekend with the qualifying rounds for eMLS League Series 1 presented by Coca-Cola. Playing under the gamer tag of smatias17_, Serg will be on the sticks starting Tuesday night with back-to-back nights of competition in search of securing a spot in the knockout rounds this weekend.

Serg will kick off the competition on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. ET with a showdown against eMLS newcomers, Charlotte FC and Khaled Ali. The Union competitor will play seven matches on the opening night of the qualifiers before hitting the sticks again on Wednesday night with another seven games.
All competition for eMLS will take place on EA SPORTS FIFA 22 and will be played exclusively on PlayStation®5 (PS5™), marking eMLS’s debut season played on the next-generation console. You can check out Serg's schedule below with all matches to be streamed live on Twitch.
