The friendly is an important match for both sides as an important tune up for the CONCACAF Gold Cup that kicks off in late June. The matchup for Guatemala will be their second of four friendlies ahead of their Gold Cup group stage as they'll take on Mexico on Wednesday, June 7th to start off their pre-tournament fixtures. As for Trinidad & Tobago the friendly at Subaru Park is even more crucial as it serves as their only prep for the Gold Cup preliminary rounds as they look to make the tournament starting with a showdown against Guadeloupe on Friday, June 16th.
