Sunday afternoon Philadelphia's SWAG program claimed its first National Championship, concluding a perfect run on the pitch in the 3x3 National Championships at the Austin-Tindall Sports Complex in Orlando, FL.
Under the direction of Head Coach Nick Bibbs of West Philly and Scott Spangler, the team went a perfect 6-0 in Florida, outscoring their opposition by a 64 to eight margin in route to the title. The team was so strong in the tournament that four of the SWAG's six matches were stopped early due to the tournament's mercy rule when a club nets 12 goals.
The National Champions Team consisted of Riley Griffith of Southwest Philadelphia. Eli Dixon of Hamilton, NJ, and Thomas Spangler of South Media, PA.
