  • Homegrown Matt Freese makes his first start for Philadelphia Union in 2021. The start is the seventh of his MLS career with his last coming the the club's Supporters' Shield clinching win over New England Revolution on November 8, 2020.
  • Defender Jakob Glesnes makes his 30th career start for Philadelphia Union.
  • Midfielder Jose "El Brujo" Martinez returns to the Starting XI for Head Coach Jim Curtin. The start will be his 20th for the Boys in Blue and first since May 30th.
