When Philadelphia Union hosted its media fantasy camp in July, it marked the return to the pitch for WHYY South Jersey reporter Nicholas Pugliese.
"My editor made me an unexpected offer: "Do you want to represent us at Philadelphia Union fantasy camp," Pugliese wrote in his article published this week. “Obviously,” came the answer. It so happens my day with Philly’s Major League Soccer team would be my second stint playing pro."
The experience was the second time the reporter was part of a professional soccer club, having played Ferozi Football Club in Kabul, Afghanistan.
