Still in the chase for the top spot in the Eastern Conference
This is a club that has made the most of their talent in 2019 and Jim Curtin is going to try and get strong minutes from his entire roster on a difficult road trip. Whether it’s in San Jose or Columbus, somebody is going to need to step up so Philly is fully rested and ready to close on the regular season against New York City on October 6.
Kacper chases the goals record
16 goals. That’s how many CJ Sapong scored in 2017 to set the single-season Union record. Kacper Przybylko came out of nowhere this season to chase Sapong’s mark, and he only has a few more games to get there. Przybylko is in a dog fight for the fourth spot on the league scoring chart, with Carlos Vela, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Josef Martinez a good distance ahead.
The Union and Quakes do battle on Wednesday night at 11:00 p.m. ET on PhiladelphiaUnion.com in the Philly area and on the LiveWell Network.
