While the club honored medical professionals with its gameday roster, Philadelphia Union remained unbeaten in FIFA20 simulations as they knocked off Inter Miami CF by a 3-1 scoreline.
The Union's matchday 18 was dedicated to all the medical personnel in the Philadelphia region with the starting lineup featuring a surgeon in net, nurses as starting center backs and doctors leading the scoring attack. The doctors did just that with goals in the sixth and eighth minute to put the Union ahead 2-0 as fans still made their way to their virtual seats in Miami.
The Union's doctor netted first virtual hat trick of the season collecting a long pass from a pediatrician and riffling the ball into the back of the net for the 3-0 half time lead.
Inter Miami CF didn't go away lightly, cutting the lead to 3-1 early in the second half but the surgeon in net made clutch saves to give the Union another simulated victory.
