Philadelphia Union II turned in a complete performance Tuesday night, shutting out Tacoma Defiance by a 4-0 scoreline to advance to the semifinals for Division C.
FIFAdelphia Series 2 winner Timothy Hatfield represented the squad with the Spanish National Team and came out on the front foot with a seventh minute goal from Rodrigo. The lead doubled in the 32nd minute with a beautiful combination that netted Rodri a goal to make it 2-0 over Tacoma's Slovenian National Team.
The best goal of the night came in the 57th minute as Hatfield pulled out the skill stick moves to nutmeg a defender before scoring the first of two second-half goals with Mikel Oyarzabal.
Union II turns its attention to Wednesday night and a match with LA Galaxy II with the winner being guaranteed promotion to Division B. The match is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night and will be streamed live on PhiladelphiaUnion.com and Union II's Twitch channel.
