Seltzer: Union one of the teams best equipped to win in Orlando

As the days tick down to the start of the MLS is Back Tournament, MLSSoccer.com contributor Greg Seltzer took a look at the teams that could win the whole thing and of course the Union were on his list.

Seltzer looked for a variety of clues to make his early prediction looking for teams with a deep roster that can overcome a short hot-weather tourney that allows five subs in a game.

"Style of play also matters against what are sure to be rusty foes," Seltzer writes. "Set piece prowess, counter attack acumen and stinginess at the back among the more encouraging traits to own in this situation."

Making note of the healthy returns of 2019 leading scorer Kacper Przybylko plus left back Kai Wagner, "the Union are once again loaded, are deep, a pain in the butt to play against and eager to graduate to winning honors." With steady figures like Alejandro Bedoya and Jamiro Monteiro in the midfield coupled with "speedy transition weapons" this tournament could be the breakout moment for the Union.
