The Philadelphia Union were the first team in the MLS is Back Tournament to learn their Round of 16 opponent overnight with the results netting the club a matchup against the New England Revolution.
The Union will face off against the Revolution as a result of finishing second in Group A via goal differential while New England was the runners-up in Group C due to goals scored. The Union claimed seven points in their three matches of the group stage with wins over New York City FC and Inter Miami before a 1-1 draw with Orlando City SC. Meanwhile the Revs's were unbeaten as with their lone win coming against Montreal Impact that was followed up by draws with D.C. United and Toronto FC.
The MLS is Back Tournament Knockout Rounds presented by Audi matchup will kick off on Saturday, July 25th and will be broadcast on ESPN2. Kick off is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.
