Interim Head Coach Marlon LeBlanc
On the team getting its first win...
“It was great. I have spent a couple of days with them and I thought their spirit and energy was excellent. The collective group effort was fantastic. To come from behind and get the result was amazing and these are just building blocks. This is a young team and the result is just a result. It does not mean as much to me and the organization as much as the fight and the effort and we will continue to build that in the group.”

On joining the team in a short amount of time...
“The message came down on Monday. I was at training Monday evening and coached my first pro game on Wednesday night so it has been a whirlwind, but it has been fun for sure.”

On his first half hydration break message...
“The message to the team was that we were not going to defend the rest of the match. The idea was that we still wanted to but some pressure on them and see if where we could get in behind and put the game on ice. I thought that we were close a couple of times to doing just that. The though was not to just finish off the game but to keep going at them we made changes to do that and credit to the boys as they went out fought hard and got the result.”

On the performance of Jack Jasinski, playing forward and defense...
“He looked at me a little crazy when I told him what I was thinking and all the credit to him. He executed what we were asking him to do. It is no secret that we are a little bit thin right now, a lot thin, and we need someone to unbalance them and get in behind I thought he came in and did that. What a way for him to score his first professional goal, to beat Red Bulls II your rival. I think that the change helped and I am happy that he was able to score the goal.”

Midfielder Jack McGlynn
On the feeling in the locker room after the win...
“We all went crazy and started throwing water everywhere. It was a great feeling to finally get our first win of the season, but we are ready to keep moving on now.”

On how getting the early lead gave them momentum...
“It gave us a big shot of momentum early in the game. We were confident going into the game but to just have that it boosted our confidence even more. That helped us pull out the three points.”

On scoring his first career goal...
“I spoke with Axel Picazo after the game and he said he was going to shoot it and I would have been so mad. I was just happy to see the ball go into the goal and it was a great feeling.”

Forward Patrick Bohui
On scoring his first career goal...
“I was surprised because it all happened so fast. I thought it was a dream. I just want to thank my coach and teammates for putting their confidence in me.”

On working his way into the Starting Xl...
“It was good. I just working hard and didn’t give up. Today the coach trusted me and put me in and I am thankful.”

On the last few days after the coaching change...
“It was good. We have been training with him for two days. He told us about the specifics of what he wanted us to do in the game."
