Philadelphia Union returns home for a second showdown of the regular season against Inter Miami CF. Kick off from Subaru Park is at 7:30 PM Sunday on PHL17 and PhiladelphiaUnion.com.

The Boys in Blue enter the finale of a three-game in seven day stretch after picking up a road point at FC Cincinnati on Wednesday night. The result extended the Union’s unbeaten streak to four straight and 11 of the last 12 contests. With captain Alejandro Bedoya suspended due to yellow card accumulation and fellow midfielder Jamiro Monteiro in danger as well, Head Coach Jim Curtin said that “the staff has 100% trust in Anthony [Fontana]…he’s ready to go and will certainly play a major role for us against Miami.” Philly looks to keep their foot on the accelerator as it battles for second place in the Eastern Conference against Orlando City SC and Toronto FC.

Curtin said that Miami is “well coached, they’re well organized…you can tell they’re building something special,” when speaking about Sunday night’s opponent. Despite the rough start to the season and one of the worst starts in MLS expansion club history, Curtin acknowledged that Inter Miami is building something special. The club is headlined by big international names with Rodolfo Pizarro and recently acquired Gonzalo Higuain. It is unclear as of Friday if Higuain will be available to make his MLS debut on Sunday in Philadelphia, but the Boys in Blue have been preparing for a tough matchup and expect a different squad they faced in July when they defeated Miami 2-1 in Group play of the MLS is Back Tournament.

Players to Watch
Kacper Przybylko: Even though he is leading the club with seven goals, it still feels like Kacper is just getting started.

Rodolfo Pizarro: With just two goals on the season, Pizarro will be looking to make some noise with or without Higuain on the pitch. He netted the club’s only goal against the Union while in Orlando.
