VOTE: Union duo nominated for MLS Goal of the Week

GOTW_Font_Miro

Not only did the first place Philadelphia Union net two big wins last week but they did so with style as both Anthony Fontana and Jamiro Monteiro are up for the MLS Goal of the Week.

Fontana's flick on the road at New England is the first nominee with the homegrown turning an impossible angle into a creative and beautiful finish that gave the Union the lead against their regional foe.

Fellow midfielder Jamiro Monteiro's nomination was done a different way but still ended in the same fashion, a Union goal. Monteiro fired a rocket from his right foot that beat the Toronto FC keeper and not only sent Subaru Park into a craze but added an exclamation point to the match saw propelled the Union into first place.

Voting is open and concludes at 9:00 AM ET on Tuesday, October 27. To vote for you favorite Union goal, click here or the larger text below.
