After making his first appearance for FC Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday, former Philadelphia Union homegrown Brenden Aaronson reached a couple more milestones as he helped his club to a 3-0 win over SV Ried 1912 in Tipico Bundesliga play.

The Wednesday night match first caught Union fans attention when the team sheet was announced with the Medford, New Jersey, native in the Starting XI for Head Coach Jesse Marsch.

Aaronson was fearless in his first start needing less than 15 minutes to appear on the scoresheet. Aaronson provided the assist on FC Red Bull Salzburg's opening goal as he held up the ball at the edge of the 18-yard-box before finding Rasmus Kristensen.

Aaronson played 63 minutes in the win and will look to continue the strong momentum with the league leaders as they face off against TSV Hartberg on Saturday, January 30th.
