Union II’s David Vazquez and Neil Pierre Earn First U-19 USMNT Call Up

Philadelphia Union II announced today that midfielder David Vazquez and defender Neil Pierre have been selected to join the U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team training camp in Rabat, Morocco.

This marks the debut call-up for the duo, who are set to represent their country in the upcoming international friendlies against England on March 24 and Morocco on March 26 in preparation for this summer’s Concacaf U-20 Championship in Mexico, which will send four nations to the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.

Vazquez continues his national team campaign after previously earning 17 appearances for the U-17 USMNT. In those 17 appearances, Vazquez registered four assists, helping the U-17 team secure a second-place finish in the 2023 CONCACAF U-17 Championship and a berth in the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup. On November 21, 2023, he scored his first goal in the 2023 U-17 World Cup Round of 16 against Germany.

Pierre previously appeared for the U-16 USMNT during the 2023 International Dream Cup, where he was selected as captain in a match against the Netherlands.
